About Us

The Vision

The vision to spread the Good News of the Gospel, Besserat, of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to his people and the longing of a fellowship among his people were the impetus that made Dr Bahram Fessehazion respond to the call and envision the organization of Besserat Evangelical Society.

BES’ first annual conference that was held in Columbus, Ohio in 1983 included some fifty people. Now BES is known by thousands of Eritreans all over the world.


The Mission

Propagate the gospel of our lord Jesus Christ among the Eritreans in Diaspora.

Nurture them in the knowledge of His Word and Grace.

Equip them to be His witnesses.

Strives to achieve the goals of its mission through literature, Internet, Audio, Video, Meetings and Visitations.


Meetings and Visitations:

Annual Conference. (Family oriented 6-day camp retreat.)

Itinerary visitation. (holding formal and informal meetings)

Literature: (Tigrinya language.)

A quarterly published periodical, “”Besserat”” magazine,

Bibles, and books,

Personal or/and group bible study guides.


Governance

The Board of nine members, elected by the people during the Annual Conference governs Besserat Evangelical Society. All members of the Board are volunteers. All of BES operating expenses come solely from its supporters in the form of conference registration, pledges, offerings, and donations.
